sick

I so dislike being sick.  Mia has been sick and she decided to be kind and share with me.  Ugh.  I spent the last 24 hours basically asleep.  Thank goodness Tom was able to come home early yesterday and help out with the kids.  They watched way too much t.v. yesterday but it allowed me to sleep.  We've been better about the t.v. today and have even managed to get outside.  I'm building raised beds in my garden.  I had two that needed weed cloth and dirt.  So happy I managed to get those filled.  Now if I could just summon the energy I need to move my strawberries into the one.

It is a beautiful spring day here.  I wish I didn't feel so crummy.  I want to be out mowing the lawn and working around the yard.  I guess it will have to wait until next weekend.

The kids are doing well in spite of Mia having been sick.  She loves to sit and draw with her crayons.  Funny, because that was never something Bear liked to do.  He likes playing with his trains and cars and stuff but rarely drawing or coloring.  I love the differences in the two kids.  They are fascinating to watch. Bear is my crazy clown that loves to make people laugh.  Mia is my snuggle bug.  She has recently decided that books are wonderful.  That is one area that the kids are very much alike.  They will both fall asleep cuddled up with a book. 

Well, I should see if I can get something in these two for lunch.

Easter

We had a good Easter weekend.  I did have to start mowing the lawn though.  I'm kinda glad about starting that chore.  It means it is truly spring.  I also planted peas and the kids and I got to play outside.  We had fun coloring eggs and looking for them.  Bear thinks the Easter Bunny is silly for hiding eggs.  I'll put some pictures up hopefully during nap time today. 

I'm home today because our little one has been sick.  She spent yesterday pretty miserably.  Today is better but she still needs some time to rest and get better.  Poor kid.  I hate when little ones get sick.

It is strange to be home on a Tuesday.  I think school is still out for Easter because there aren't even any kids at the playground.

5 more weeks and Tom is done with school.  Yippee!!  After that who knows what will happens.  Tom is looking for a job so we might end up moving.  We might end up staying too.  Who knows.  Either way we want to move out of city limits.  I want to be able to have critters without hiding them.  I'd love to be able to say yes when Bear asks for chickens or a llama.  Actually I'm hoping to change his mind about a llama but it would be nice to have the space for one.

It looks like my battery is about to die here.  I'd better go play hide-and-seek with Bear while Mia sleeps.  Going to be a beautiful day.
