About Me

My photo
I used to be aircraft mechanic and now I'm a homemaker. I love to garden, play with my kids, hang out with my husband, bake bread (some is good some isn't), travel, and eat.

Continued...

Here are the promised pictures. Bear enjoys Windows Media Player on my laptop (and any other computer immensly). I really wonder about the kid some days. At any rate he also seemed to enjoy banging on my computer and watching the screen do all sorts of things. Funny story about that sort of thing... I went to town today and stopped by Tom's work. Bear and I decided Dad needed a Red Bull to finish the day. While we were there Tom was letting Bear play with one of the computers in the break room. (We were in back with the whole crew eating pizza.) Bear proceded to shut the computer down. Not really sure how a 10 month old kid figures that out but he did.

Anyway, back to the picture descriptions. The last one is just before Aunty Kate left after her visit. We went and ate at McKenzie River Pizza for lunch. Yes, Tracy we can go when you guys are here.:) We don't go very often and company is a great excuse for some of the best pizza ever. Bear sure did seem to like the pizza too. He and I went to Famous Dave's (a bbq joint) for lunch today. He wasn't as fond of that as he is of pizza. With his teeth coming in he seems to want real food more often. This is good and bad. The baby food sure is convienent. No cooking or anything. I tend to not even heat it up so I don't have to worry about him getting burnt. Also, I've decided it helps out when we are some place I can't heat the food that he isn't shocked and upset that his food is cold. Don't know if this is really true, but it makes sense in my head.

Off to try to cool down...Summer is here with a vengence. For today, knowing this country it could snow tomorrow and be normal.

Blazing into summer

We've gone from it freezing every night to over 80 degrees F. Ugh! At least Bear is happy about running around in just a diaper while we're at the house. That kid is very quickly becoming a little boy. He's pulling up to standing and even tries letting go of things once in awhile. He has 3 and a half teeth and more that are working their way out. Most of his clothes are in the 18-24 mo. sizes. I can't believe it. He loves to play outside in the sunshine. I hear someone hollering so I'd better get dinner so a bath, story, and bed can follow. I'll post some photos later tonight...

Dinner Date

I got to have a dinner date with my boys tonight. We had to drop off our friend's dog and vehicle at the airport today so when Tom brought the dog in to town he just stayed. That way we were able to go out to dinner this evening. Poor Bear was awfully tired, but he was such a good kid. Sat and ate very quietly after playing with crayons for the first time. He's not sure if he should throw them, eat them, or maybe draw with them. He seems to think throwing them might be the most fun. He also got a grilled cheese sandwich for the first time. He seemed to think that was just fine. I'm trying to think of a food the kid doesn't like... Not really coming up with one. He likes some things over others, but will still eat what is put in front of him.

One not so good thing though is he doesn't like milk. Who would have thought it? He has pretty much weaned himself of all things milk. Formula especially. He does love yogurt and likes cheese so I'm not too worried about that. Besides, Tom added chocolate to the milk the other day. That apparently was a big hit.

Well, I'm off to bed. We finally got some pictures the other day so I'll have to get some more posted this weekend. Oh! Auntie Kate will be here this weekend. Bear is gonna have soooo much fun.

Springtime

A nice day again finally... It is nice to not have to bundle Bear up. He likes his toes out and about too. I'm amazed at how quickly the kid can get dirty now that he crawls. He was on the floor before, but man! Last night Tom put him in pjs and an hour or so later we ended up changing into clean pjs again. I need to get him to wear the Swiffer pads I guess.

It is nice though that he can crawl around. He likes to play outside a lot. Seems to really like dandelions. They are fun to play with and we have a ton of them. We'll have to go play outside today after lunch.

The photos were last weekend playing outside. You'll have to excuse the quality. They were taken on my cell phone that does okay, but not the best photos.

Tom and Bear

We got some furniture for our porch the other day. Here are a few photos of Bear helping Tom put one of the chairs together...

Photos

Bear at bathtime. His new robe makes him look like an angelic boxer.:)
Sleepy kid...
Bear in his outfit to go to "Uncle" Brian's funeral. Obviously he doesn't know where he's going or what is taking place. Thank goodness for the kid. He has made it impossible not to smile.
