Tom and I went camping for our anniversary this year. The best part is that it's only a 10 minute drive from our house. Up at the Mission Resevoir are camp sites and I guess there is a trail head up at the mouth of Mission Creek somewhere. We didn't make it that far up. It was perfect for a little one night excursion to see how Bear likes camping. Very much, by the way. Although here at the house he doesn't seem to like the least little chill he didn't seem too bothered by the rainy weather up camping. We got poured on at about 6 a.m. this morning. It started out yesterday somewhere in the high 80's, low 90's and was down right cold and yucky by the time we went to bed. It let us get dinner warmed up and eaten before even a sprinkle hit though. Same thing this morning... The weather broke for us to get up, have coffee, and cook and eat breakfast. Then we even had time to pack up without getting too wet. The weather made for some great pictures and a scared dog.:) Buddy isn't very fond of lightning. Bear didn't seem to have any problems. We put his little stocking cap on and bundled him up in blankets. He seemed happy as a clam all night. He loved laying in the tent while we set up camp and watching the trees overhead.

So, here's the next edition... Bear is now holding his head up longer periods of time and he's down to one feeding a night. Yippee!! Sleep. Also we measured him the other day and he's 23 inches long. Up two inches from birth. He's over 11 pounds now too. It's amazing how fast he grows. We're starting to get more smiles. Haven't been able to catch him on camera with smiles yet, but will post once we do.
I'm getting ready to go back to work in September. We are trying to not do daycare. I'll only be working a couple days a week when Tom has days off. This should give him some good Bear and Dad time and give us a bit more money.
