Tom and I went camping for our anniversary this year. The best part is that it's only a 10 minute drive from our house. Up at the Mission Resevoir are camp sites and I guess there is a trail head up at the mouth of Mission Creek somewhere. We didn't make it that far up. It was perfect for a little one night excursion to see how Bear likes camping. Very much, by the way. Although here at the house he doesn't seem to like the least little chill he didn't seem too bothered by the rainy weather up camping. We got poured on at about 6 a.m. this morning. It started out yesterday somewhere in the high 80's, low 90's and was down right cold and yucky by the time we went to bed. It let us get dinner warmed up and eaten before even a sprinkle hit though. Same thing this morning... The weather broke for us to get up, have coffee, and cook and eat breakfast. Then we even had time to pack up without getting too wet. The weather made for some great pictures and a scared dog.:) Buddy isn't very fond of lightning. Bear didn't seem to have any problems. We put his little stocking cap on and bundled him up in blankets. He seemed happy as a clam all night. He loved laying in the tent while we set up camp and watching the trees overhead.
