From Tom: Well it has been a hectic week or so. Katrina went back to work just when tragedy struck at Neptune when they lost one of their tankers and the three men onboard. So it has been a week of tears and funerals as well as first experiences for Barrett. We found out how good a traveler he is on two ten hour bus rides and his first airplane trip as we travelled around the West to pay our respects to Katrina's lost comrades. On a lighter note, with Kat being back at work, Barrett and I got our first day together on our own. We have been having a good time sitting on the couch being guys, wandering the town checking out girls, and watching dumb movies (blame my dad for those legacies). We also listen to lots of music and dance (about as well as tall gawky white guys can dance). Barrett also got his first shots yesterday. He did great: screamed his fool head off but held still for the poor nurse. Just an update for everyone... he is now eight weeks old, 13 lbs 5 oz (75th percentile), and 24 in. long (90th percentile... long baby!), and in the words of the doctor, he is a good strong healthy boy. That's all for now, the pictures above are just us boys goofing off.

You guys are too cute! Sounds like a day made in Tyleeland. Don't forget about romantic comedies. Enjoy your time together.
